ReWire for Cakewalk Sonar by Propellerhead Software
ReWire is a system for transferring audio data from one application to another, in real time. Basically, you could view ReWire as an “invisible audio cable” that connects two computer programs. ReWire allows you to stream audio in real time from Reason to a ReWire host application (such as Sonar), play/stop and move the playback marker with both programs in perfect sync.
Reason 3 – Sonar 4 Rewire Template
Here we present the first user upload which has been approved and is ready to download for you. The download has been provided by Esterhuizen. The files were created by Brad Brush. He made this Sonar/ReWire template to get around the limitations of 16 tracks (15 including the hardware master) of rewire in the current version of Sonar 4.
Using Reason with Sonar by Craig Anderton
Reason makes a great synth rack for SONAR/Home Studio: you get two samplers, a graintable synth, subtractive synth, Rex file player, and drum machine…and you can open up multiple instances of each one. Because Reason is so efficiently coded, you can open up a lot of instruments before most modern computers will start to complain.
