ReWire for Apple Logic by Propellerhead Software

ReWire is a system for transferring audio data from one application to another, in real time. Basically, you could view ReWire as an “invisible audio cable” that connects two computer programs. ReWire allows you to stream audio in real time from Reason to a ReWire host application (such as Logic), play/stop and move the playback marker with both programs in perfect sync.

Rewire Reason 4.0 to Logic Pro 8 by Christian Grobmeier

Basically its pretty forward to wire both application together. You just need to know that one of the apps should be the Master, while the other is the slave. Usually you have Logic Pro as the Master, from which you control everything and Reason only as some kind of big effect box.

Inside Logic open the Mixer window by selecting “Mixer” at the bottom of the arrange window. From within the Mixer window create a new aux track by selecting Options / Create new Auxillary Channel Strip. In the Aux tracks I/O section set the input to Reason/RW:Mix L/R (you can have Reason modules assigned to different outputs but for brevity we will use the main stereo outs).
