Yamaha CS-01 by White Crow
This refill has both NNXT patches for Reason 2.5 – 3.0 and Combi Patches for Reason 3.0 users only.The samples were made direct from the line output of the CS-01 into a Focusrite Platinum Series Pre-Amp (no signal processing used) with A/D via Motu 2408 into Digital Performer 4.6.1 they were all recorded in 24/44.1. Each sample was edited in Peak 5.02 to an approximate 10 second sustained sample retaining the 24 bit format. These are not looped samples as most analog use is not with long sustained notes however the samples are trimmed to facilitate doing so. Eight samples recorded at “C” and “F” per patch which correspond to Foot settings on the CS-01. This gives the patch the most accurate play from C2 to F5 with all notes below and above being interpolated. As this is a mono synth all patches have been set to poly = 1 in the NNXT. All five wave forms are represented as well as the “white noise” setting (WN) which is fun to play with as you can get surf, wind and even helicopter sounds out of it. Most of the CS-01 controls on the synth are represented in the patches in the following ways first is the CS-01 control to the left or the equal and Reason Patch Control to the left.
