Patches and ReFills

CombiString Ensemble by Robert Sigmuntowski

The CombiString Ensemble is a virtual string ensemble sounding like the old string machines made in the 1970′s. The sound is based upon sawtooth generators passed through a big, fat, analogue emulating chorus section, all made by Reason instruments in real-time – no sample is used! Now you can have this sound for free in a single ReFill for Reason’s combinator. There are two versions of the string ensemble (also in mono and stereo) and the whole thing once again as a pure effect unit. Have a lot of fun!

Eminent 310 Strings Refill

Probably the best analogue strings patch in the world – samples courtesy as always to HollowSun.com – this is the original 70s Jarre sound. With a choice of Malstrom or PH-90 patches to provide NNXT filter modulation, this is a rich, detailed, beautiful and unique sound, gloriously presented. See readme for historical notes and usage guide, and listen to the first bar of Oxygene or Equinoxe to preview! This is that sound!

Eminent 310 String Ensemble – Mono version

Eminent were a Dutch organ manufacturer who made organs for a variety of markets from the ’60s until around 1983. However, perhaps their greatest claim to fame was the string synthesiser that was built into the 310 model. The Eminent 310 was the organ which provided Jean Michel Jarre’s trademark sound on Oxygene, Equinoxe and Oxygene 7-13. This is the mono version of the patch. Perfectly suited for those who have an Electro Harmonix Small Stone phaser pedal. See link below for more info and mp3-demos. Ratings and comments appreciated!
